In 2021 at the height of the pandemic the health workers Sostento served were running out of personal protective equipment (PPE), a dire and life threatening situation. Mobilizing with the crypto community in a few short weeks we raised 25 Ethereum (ETH), enough to purchase and ship equipment to the thousands of health workers in need. It demonstrated to Sostento the social good potential of the crypto community.
In 2025 we launched a Crypto Advisory Board to increase our capacity to engage with professionals working in the crypto and digital asset industry and deepen our understanding of the blockchain.
We are a 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2019 serving communities across the United States.
Sostento is an Italian word that means to uplift, sustain and nourish. By 2030 we aim to help at least 10% of uninsured individuals in the United States overcome a barrier to quality healthcare.
