Bringing Blockchain into the Fight for Healthcare Access
Sostento is a US-based 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to propel solutions with health workers that remove patient barriers to care, prevent sickness, ease suffering and save lives. To date we have helped over 350,000 individuals receive timely access to care and served over 4,000 frontline health workers across the nation.
In 2021 at the height of the pandemic the health workers Sostento served were running out of personal protective equipment (PPE), a dire and life threatening situation. Mobilizing with the crypto community in a few short weeks we raised 25 ETH, enough to purchase and ship equipment to the thousands of health workers in need. It demonstrated to Sostento the social good potential of the crypto community.
This year we launched a Crypto Advisory Board to increase our capacity to engage with professionals working in the crypto and digital asset industry and deepen our understanding of the blockchain. Read below about our inaugural members.
